how to give your Mistress a pedicure

one of the things that i would like to do for my Mistress, is to have the opportunity to give Her a warm, relaxing pedicure.  however, at this point in time i have not been permitted to do so.  i can only assume that this denial is based at least partly on my apparent lack of skill to do this competently.  therefore, i have perused the internet and explored the various options and techniques for performing this service for my Mistress. i intend to first practice and apply these techniques on myself, and then once perfected, will hopefully be given the chance one day to serve my Mistress with these newfound skills.

i shall keep E/everyone posted as to my progress.

 

until then, here are the basics for a good pedicure.

Pedicure Supplies

the first thing needed of course, is  to collect the appropriate supplies. Some Mistresses already have

pedicure supplies, and if this is case, then bravo! however, if not, then here is a simple list of what is needed:

1) nail clippers

2) nail file (a diamond nail file is the best, but a less expensive one will do)

3) emory board

4) a pumice stone

5) nail polish in Her preferred color

6) clear coat (however, some Mistresses prefer a separate clear base coat as well as separate clear top coats and colors)

7) bottle of nail polish remover

8) some moisturizer (the best would be the kind manufactured for feet)

9) cotton balls or beauty pads

10) a wash basin filled with warm water

11) foot soap

12) nail brush

13) clean towels

14) nail polish remover

15) toe separators

one important thing to remember is not to cut your Mistress’s cuticles, that is unless She requests that of you. i have read that incorrect or improper trimming can cause bacterial infection.  But the final call is up to your Mistress. there are tools for pushing the cuticle back, but sometimes all that is needed is a good soaking and the texture of a nice soft towel. i would choose the later, but it is your Mistress's decision.

once all these things are procured , it is time to notify your Mistress of your desire and willingness to serve Her in this way.  make sure that enough time is allotted to complete this task and have a relaxing space open to begin with Her pedicure.

extend an invitation and have your Mistress make Herself comfortable on the couch, lounge, or a comfortable chair.  should your Mistress be wearing boots, shoes, sneakers or sandals, ask if you may remove them prior to the pedicure.  upon doing this, lightly saturate a cotton pad with nail polish remover to strip off Her old nail polish. then, fill up the wash basin with warm water. place a few drops of lavender or  eucalyptus oil in the water along with a few squirts of foot soap and then have Her soak Her feet for about 5 or 10 minutes.

after She has relaxed and soaked Her feet in the warm sudsy water, gently lift one foot out of the water and scrub and wash it gently with the soft foot brush.  remember to scrub around the top of the toe nail and underneath to remove any dirt that may have collected.  following this, remove one foot at a time and dry off with the warm towels you had just retrieved from the dryer

trimming the nails and smoothing the rough spots

now, use the nail clipper to trim Her toenail. Cut them straight across and keep them somewhat longer than you would normally prefer for yourself. make sure that you don’t round off the ends to prevent ingrown nails from occurring. once this is completed, take the pumice stone to gently smooth away any rough skin on the bottom of her sole or around the sides of Her heels.  perform this gently and not as if you are sanding down some cabinets for a counter. skin exfoliator blades are also available for this task, but a nice piece of pumice does the job very well.  now, grasp Her foot by the arch and brace the toes against the palm of your hand and use the nail file or emory board to file down any sharp edges left by the toenail clippers.  make sure to remember to do this to both feet.

applying moisturizer to Her feet

invite your Mistress to continue to soak Her feet for a little while longer, and then once She is ready to

remove them from the water, again use warmed towels from the dryer to absorb and dry the water from Her feet.  now, apply some foot moisturizer and massage it into the tops of Her feet, the soles, heels and of course Her toes.  tea tree oil also works well here and is relaxing and quite invigorating. again, place Her feet in the heated towels from the dryer and move on to the next step.

nail polish for Her nails

in preparation for the polish start by placing Her toes gently in between a foam set of toe separators. This will keep Her toes apart and prevent one toe from brushing up against the other and messing up the wet polish.

begin by saturating a cotton pad with nail polish remover and then swishing it over Her toenails. this is done to  remove any of the oil or moisturizer that may still be left on the nail itself from the massage. in most cases, the oily consistency of the moisturizer will prevent the nail polish from adhering to the nail properly.  the next  step is

to apply a base coat to Her nails.  again, make sure to do this to both sets of toenails. allow the base coat to dry. now, be certain to ask your Mistress what color or shade of polish that She prefers, and of course what style.  once, She has settled on Her choice, prepare to apply the polish to the nails.  when applying the polish, make sure to remove all the globules from ofr the polish brush by dabbing it lightly against the sides of the opening of the polish bottle. use the polish brush to paint the nail in a smooth, fluid motion, starting just above the cuticle and then sweeping down evenly, being mindful and careful to cover the nail. most advice columns recommend starting with the big toe first and then making your way down. the big toe should be painted with a smooth sweeping motion and the smaller toes should be dabbed with the polish brush.  again, be careful to not smear the polish all over Her toes. should you happen to get some polish on the skin next to her toenails, dip a cotton pad into the nail polish remover and use it to dab away any drips of stray color. 

applying the top coat and drying

After allowing this coat to dry completely, it is then time to finish by applying the top coat and allowing it also to dry thoroughly. Keep in mind there are different faster methods for drying. some have suggested using a hair dryer, while others have invested in purchasing professional pedicure nail dryers.

i can’t stress enough to allow a good amount of time for drying.  don’t expect your Mistress to be pleased or happy if when She gets up to leave and unfortunately the polish is not dry and She smears it terribly. 

the final ending result should be one happy, pleased Mistress who looks absolutely amazingly spectacular with Her newly painted pedi. She may even permit you to kiss Her feet after you are done.
