"it was a dark and stormy night. the rain beat down steadily and with an incessant rhythm that came and went with sporadic spurts. a candle's yellow tallow burned with faded brillance as the loyal servant scrubbed and toiled to remove the accumulated wine and grease stains from his beloved Mistress's carpeting. yet, within him there are no feelings of malice or discontent. he is happy and content to follow and retrieve Her trail of soiled laundry, stained glassware and sundry shredded paper remnants of Her presence. with a tearful eye he sorts Her laundry into neat coordinated piles. there is a stillness about the house now and an eerie calm. the water punctuates the silence as it splashes over the dark colors, like ripplets and currents searching for the whirl of the soap and the agitation of the whirlpool. suddenly, ..." by: pescado
