BDSM education and relevance for a vanilla world

BDSM � Bondage/Discipline, Dominance/submission and sado/masochism - has long
been associated with acts of evil, torture, murder � our greatest fears and most
horrific crimes. But these are also the behaviors that define our oldest
histories, our most fulfilling fantasies and our every worldly relationship:
with our lovers, our families, friends and partners, with our world, our gods
and ourselves.

S&M has become more widely accepted in mainstream media � with its activities
appearing in movies, music videos and even promotional advertisements � but
people who participate openly and consensually in their everyday lives face the
risk of persecution from their communities, their employers, and the court of
civil law.

This project is meant as the first complete round-table discussion, an in-depth
education on the subject from all points-of-view, and an attempt to reach an
understanding that will stop the harassment of voluntary participants. We at
Divisions Media are grateful to live in a country where it is no longer
acceptable to take away someone's job or someone's child if they are found to be
gay or lesbian � it is our hope that one day the same protection will be
extended to Dominants, submissives, Masters and slaves, masochists and sadists,
and anyone who chooses to participate in a kinky or alternative lifestyle.
